Know Before your Tour

Is this a private tour?
Yes. All tours are private for your group only — we do not combine groups or arrange mixed sessions.

How many people can join?
Up to 5 people per booking, private for your group.

What time should I book my tour for?
We recommend an early start — pickup around 5:00 AM, arriving at Toyosu Market by roughly 6:00 AM — to catch the market at its most vibrant, with the widest variety of fresh fish still available. Later start times are absolutely fine if you prefer, but please note the market will be quieter and less fish may be on display as the morning goes on.

Do you need a minimum number of guests?
Yes, a minimum of 2 people per booking. A minimum guarantee charge may apply for smaller groups.

What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and footwear you don't mind getting a little dirty — sneakers or flat shoes are best. Please avoid heels, open-toe sandals, and flip-flops, as the market floor can be wet and uneven.

Can I wear perfume or cologne?
Please don't — strong scents can interfere with the fish and seafood being evaluated at market.

Is photography allowed?
Yes, photography and filming are welcome during your tour.

Can I eat or drink while walking around?
Eating while walking isn't permitted inside the market. If you'd like to try street food, we recommend adding on a Tsukiji Outer Market visit.

Do I need cash?
Yes — most vendors at Toyosu Market only accept cash, so please bring enough if you'd like to make any purchases.

Can I bring a stroller?
We highly recommend against it — some areas, especially around Tsukiji Outer Market, have narrow aisles that are difficult to navigate with a stroller. Additionally trucks and bikes often pass through Toyosu Market.

Is this suitable for children?
Children are welcome. Please note some areas involve foot traffic from delivery vehicles, so young children should stay close to an adult at all times.

Are minors allowed without a parent?
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

What if I'm running late?
Please arrive on time — arrivals more than 15 minutes after the start time (with no prior contact) may result in cancellation of your booking.

Is a meal included?
No meal is included in the tour price, but your chef guide will personally recommend a sushi restaurant based on what's freshest that day.

How far in advance should I book?
Bookings should be made at least 1 day in advance.

What's your cancellation policy?
Full refund if cancelled at least 4 days before your tour date. Changes to date/group size after that point require cancelling and rebooking.

How do I pay?
Payment is required in advance. We accept PayPal and Credit Card.

Is Toyosu Market always the same experience?
The market operates as a working wholesale facility — delivery trucks and vehicles pass through regularly, so please stay alert. Some shops may also be closed during major Japanese holidays (New Year's, Golden Week, Obon, Silver Week), which can affect the atmosphere.

Are you responsible if I'm injured during the tour?
Toyosu Market is a working wholesale facility with wet floors, moving carts, and vehicle traffic, and guests participate at their own risk. While our guides take care to keep you safe, we are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or loss of property that occur during the tour.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing varies depending on what add-ons are added to the base tour experience.
