We brought my parents and my 8-year-old daughter, and it ended up being a great experience for all three generations. Our guide was great with my daughter, pointing out fish she'd recognize from sushi and keeping her engaged the whole time, while my parents loved hearing the more in-depth explanations about the market and the auction. It didn't feel dumbed down for the kid or too slow for the adults. Would definitely recommend for families traveling together.

My husband and I are both in our 80s and were a little worried the early start and walking would be too much, but the pace was easy to follow and our guide was patient and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Getting to see the tuna up close and hear him explain what makes a good cut was fascinating — something we never would've understood on our own. Highly recommend, even for older travelers who think this might not be for them.
